Tatjana Pandzic is a clinical laboratory geneticist and researcher at the department of Clinical Genetics at Uppsala University Hospital. She has been involved in development work at CGU since 2016, and has for example made major contributions towards implementing myeloid NGS panels in routine diagnostics as well as setting up digital PCR as a clinical test for monitoring treatment response in patients with acute leukemia. The digital PCR assay is based on targeted analysis of specific mutations identified by panel sequencing at diagnosis.

Peter Hollander is a specialist in hematopathology and researcher at the department of Clinical Pathology at Uppsala University Hospital. His current research focuses on whole exome sequencing of consecutive lymphoma samples in patients with relapsed lymphomas, and elucidating the clinical relevance of clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential in patients with hematologic malignancies.

– A joint leadership facilitates the workflow in the hematology work package at CGU. The goal is to implement sequencing panels to better characterize patients with lymphoid malignancies. Ultimately, more accurate diagnostic procedures allow for more sophisticated treatment concepts in patients with lymphoid malignancies, says Peter Hollander.
